A day out for Scarlett Hearts

So today we went to over the river to South Shields in search buttons and fabric in the name of tote bags for Scarlett Hearts. As you know may know we hand make tote bags but are main aim is to make them in way that wont be found anywhere else.

So to do this we source fabrics from all over the place and we love Markets for finding random pieces, in particular South Shields Market.

So off we pop, the only way in our minds to get there is via the ferry, perfect for a rainy day!

First stop, the fabric stall, the guys on this stall are so canny and give a fair measurement for your money. I absolutely adore going in search of fabrics, I get this amazing buzz like no other when I find a really amazing fabric and I just cant wait to share them with you!!

After a quick recki round the market we headed to a pup and had breakfast and tea, these adorable little tea pots made my day, I definitely wanted to steal one, but I didn't! Don't worry you don't have a thief on your hands here!

Next stop was the buttons and ribbons stall, how can you resist rummaging through ribbons and buttons for the day?! If you're like me then you would love this stall. Its perfect! I got some lovely buttons to make earrings with and also loads of little heart buttons to tag my tote bags with!

So even on our days off we are searching for new goodies for you! Hopefully you will see some of the ruits of our labour up on here next week but more importantly up on Scarlett Hearts xo
